Second Back To School Day

It's the second first day of school! After 2 school days we evacuated from hurricane Harvey & now 6 weeks later we are back in business. And here's to a short year, no we don't have to make up missed days. #PirateStrong
Big news! I was offered a publishing contract for Pixie & The Green Book Mystery. But declined the deal because I did not feel it was the right literary home for Pixie. But this has given me assurance that my work is marketabley good. I'm a writer so I make up stuff and this includes creating new words.
In regards to our little village of Rockport, we are in recovery mode. Business are slowly reopening and all around is progress. We have a tarped roof, water damaged walls, and piles of debris but every day's progress brings happiness. ;-)
And since things have slowed down a bit, I can now get back to working on the 2nd episode in the Pixie Mystery series. Well kinda, at least I cleaned my desk.
